Save the Date! Auditions
Missoula Children’s Theatre "THE PRINCESS AND THE PEA"
An audition will be held for the Missoula Children's Theatre original adaptation of THE PRINCESS AND THE PEA Monday, August 1, 2011 from 9 AM to 11 AM. Those auditioning should arrive at 8:45 AM and plan to stay for the full two hours. Some of the cast members will be asked to stay for a rehearsal immediately following the audition.
Among the roles to be cast are the Princess, the Pea, King and Queen Size of Riverdom, Storm King and Snow Queen of Glacierdom, the Prince, the mischievous Jack Frost, the citizens of Riverdom and Glacierdom, the Dust Bunnies, some wannabe Princesses not to mention some meddling leprechauns. All students, ages Entering 1st Grade through 12th Grade, are encouraged to audition. No advance preparation is necessary. Assistant Directors will also be cast to aid in rehearsals throughout the week and to take on essential backstage responsibilities.
The Missoula Children's Theatre touring productions are complete with costumes, scenery, props and makeup. MCT Tour Actor/Directors will conduct rehearsals throughout the week from 9 AM to 1PM each day.
"THE PRINCESS AND THE PEA" will be presented on Saturday August 7 at the Taos Community Auditorium in two performances, one at 3PM and one at 7PM. The Missoula Children's Theatre residency in Taos is presented locally by the Taos Center for the Arts and the Town of Taos Youth and Family Center and Indian Hills Inn.
This week-long program is FREE to participating youth.

Approximately 60 children will be involved in the production as actors and 4 or 5 children will help as Assistant Directors.
